Physiology Overview
Physiology is the study of the function of living things. Physiology refers to how cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems contribute to the overall function of an entire organism. Physiology tends to be paired withanatomy as the two discuss the form (anatomy) and function (physiology) of an organism, both of which are vital to the understanding of living things.
Physiology in the Classroom
Physiology, and its basic principles, is taught at a variety of educational levels. Students generally encounter basic concepts of physiology in the middle school grades in general science classes, and again in high school biology, zoology, and anatomy and physiology classes (if offered) or in college if they elect to take a class in physiology.
Physiology Tutoring Program
Parliament's Physiology Tutoring Program equips students with...
- An understanding of what physiology science is and why it is important.
- he skills necessary to understand the function of the contributing parts of an organism, and how such parts work to maintain homeostasis in living things.
- Effective study skills which can be translated into use for other disciplines.
- Our Physiology Tutors will introduce students to all the relevant fundamentals as well as important concepts to master these sections.
