About Me
I want students to know that I am not in control of the ship, they are. Students already know what they struggle with (dislike) in school. I can give them the tools to overcome the obstacles, but it will be up to them to apply them.
Education
I received my B.A. in English from FIU in 2001. I received my M.F.A. in Creative Writing from UCF in 2015.
Teaching Experience
I have been teaching language arts and reading at various levels since 2002. In Florida, I've taught ELA in grades K-12 in public schools. In Texas, I taught developmental reading at the college level
Interests
I try to stay active- walking, yoga
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
