About Me
Overall, I understand the difficulties students can have at school and the need for tutoring since when I was younger, I had to be tutored myself in English. Meaning, I am patient and willing to work through areas where students have trouble.
Education
I'm currently heading to become a junior at the University of Miami for Fall 2023. I am studying Ecosystem Science & Policy and Geography & Sustainable Development. I will graduate in June 2025.
Teaching Experience
I began informally teaching when I was in high school, since due to my affiliation with Mu Alpha Theta I had to tutor every day after school. This experience led me on the path to understanding the difference between knowing a subject and being able to teach it. I formally tutored at the Sunshine Method where I focused on students who needed help catching up in subjects at their school. I have tutored SAT as well.
Interests
When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy analog photography, especially printing out photos in the darkroom. I also read many books on literature, science, and mathematics when I can. I also like to read books on Spanish and English linguistics.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
