About Me
I'm super passionate about teaching mathematics. I've been doing so for over twelve years—ten of which have been for the Technical College System of Georgia where I served as the Program Coordinator for Learning Support Mathematics at Southern Crescent Technical College and was awarded the Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction. Presently, I'm a mathematics instructor at Clayton State University in Morrow, GA, and my research interests include issues of equity in mathematics, mathematics help-seeking, and hierarchical linear modeling.
Education
B.S. Mathematics, Morehouse College, 2007 M.S. Mathematics, Eastern Michigan University, 2009 Ph.D. Mathematics, Education, Georgia State University, 2019
Teaching Experience
While at Morehouse College, I was a tutor for all four years of college. When I moved to Michigan, I tutored for the Sylvan Learning Center. After leaving Michigan, I taught mathematics for the Technical College System of Georgia.
