About Me
I absolutely love teaching and learning! I believe that you can learn something new every single day from anyone. I also believe that learning to read is great, but reading to learn gives one the greatest life experiences and opportunities. Read everyday because one day - you may be the one to change the entire world!
Education
I attended Northwestern State University, transferred to Louisiana State University and graduated with my Bachelor of General Studies. I attended Ashford University and graduated with my Masters of Arts in Education. I'm currently attending ITeachLouisiana for my certification to teach Elementary Education and Special Education.
Teaching Experience
I did my field experience with ITeachLouisiana as a Special Education teacher for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder for three years. I've also worked as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher for several years.
Interests
When I am not working, I am creating content in the areas of faith, fitness, and family on my social platforms as well as facilitating my online group, QueenBody by Adria. I encourage women to focus on becoming a better version of themselves by giving attention to their health, fitness, and self-care. I am also studying to become a certified fitness and life coach.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
