I received my bachelor degree in voice at Tougaloo College, in Jackson, MS. I followed that with a Masters from the University of Mississippi ; where I completed the Master of Music program with a concentration in Music Education.

My first teaching/tutoring job was at Tougaloo College for a duration of 4 years, as an Upward Bound Mentor and Tutor. During the 4 years, I assisted ELA and Math teachers with up and coming 9-10 grade students. As a graduate assistant to the Musicologist on campus, I guided and created study halls for students who failed to meet a desired goal for a composers history and orchestration. Separately, I held two weekly rehearsals, one for choir students and the other sections of string instruments (between 2018-2020). From February - April 2020, I invited 3 children to my home to assist with homework and preparing for a quiz. My first teaching opportunity with my license was in Shreveport LA, at Linwood Public Charter School. From July 2021 to December 2022, I taught Prek-8th grade choir. Aside from my teaching responsibilities, I assisted 5th grade IRLA, 3rd grade Math, and 7th-8th grade ELA for hour a day in a group setting within the classroom . During the Summer Session , I assisted 3rd Grade Math students away from the classroom.

I enjoy playing piano, walking not briskly [ When I can I take the scenic route], and traveling. I do not any pets at this time, but I am interested in a house cat!

I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
