Hello! My name is Kelvin. I received my first-degree award in physics from Delta State University. I have over 13 years of classroom teaching and one-on-one tutoring experience. I have taught in elementary, middle, high schools, and colleges. I enjoy working with students between the ages of six and eighteen. I am a very engaging and enthusiastic tutor. I am committed to ensuring that you or your child receives the best quality in the understanding of math. My approach focuses on engaging students throughout the session through conversation and questions to assist them in becoming more curious and involved with their studies. My objective is to make them feel comfortable asking any question, no matter how simple, to ensure that they fully grasp what is being taught or reviewed. Because everyone learns at a different pace, I will personalize our one-on-one tutoring sessions for you. During our initial conversation, I will learn about your abilities, the areas and skills you want to improve, and the time frame and goals you have in mind. Alternatively, if you like, I may test you on different topics to see which areas require additional assistance. From this, I can begin to develop a detailed strategy for my first few classes, in which I will explain the concepts by using examples before allowing you to tackle a variety of problems of increasing complexity. This would be followed by attempting a test question on the subject when you are more confident.
