About Me
I am an organic chemistry Ph.D. student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I love the field of chemistry and thoroughly enjoy teaching the subject. I am super excited to be your tutor! I am incredibly passionate about helping others reach their goals and will make it my mission to see you accomplish your academic or personal endeavors.
Education
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2022 as a graduate of distinction with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I am pursuing my Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and am expected to graduate in May 2027.
Teaching Experience
I was a Teaching Assistant in an undergraduate research lab in the Freshmen Research Initiative (FRI) Program at The University of Texas at Austin for three years. • Guided students in the College of Natural Sciences FRI program through proper lab techniques and theory behind the work, and encouraged independent inquiry skills during the spring semester to accustom freshmen to working in a university research laboratory. My duties included: • Oversaw independent projects relating to metabolomics of wines and development of differential assays for various components of wine for sophomore-level undergraduates, providing ideas for directions to take and troubleshooting advice. • Responsibilities include planning weekly experiments, grading reports and assignments, holding discussion sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory levels, and managing junior mentors. I am currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry I at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Interests
In my free time, I enjoy visiting coffee shops, learning about the natural world, running on trails, and going to the gym.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
