¡Hola! I'm a Spanish tutor, specializing in conversational Spanish and application. I spent eight years as a high school Spanish teacher in the Massachusetts public schools. Before that, I worked as a private guitar teacher, a camp counselor and unit director, and a community programs director as well. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a focus on Latin American Language and Literature from the University of Maryland (UMD), and I earned my Master's in Secondary Education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. I also studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for six months, and spent the year after graduating UMD teaching English on a fellowship in Spain. I believe that anyone can learn to communicate in another language, and I strive to provide lessons that pair my students' interests with the vocabulary, materials, and other language tools with which we engage in our sessions together.
