I have five years' experience as an educator, teaching English skills at many age levels. As a freelance homeschool teacher, I tutored middle school students in English, covering topics from reading comprehension to grammar and punctuation. At the high school level, I taught literature at Green Meadow Waldorf School, focusing on literary analysis, analytical writing, and creative writing. At the same high school, I also taught English as a New Language (ENL) to foreign students. At Rockland Community College, I served as an embedded tutor in a pilot section of College Writing I designated for students with ESL placements, and went on to teach first year seminars on "college success." When I went to grad school, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in Gen Ed classes across disciplines.
