About Me
Friendly, experienced, and enthusiastic about all things Science. With a bachelors in Biochemistry, experience in Computer Science and two associates in Biotechnology and Biological Sciences. Working full time in Research & Development with biodegradable polymers. Saving grades and guiding career paths on my free time.
Education
In 2016, I graduated from Northampton Community College (NCC) with my associates in Biotechnology and Biological Sciences. In the summer of 2015, I completed an internship at Lehigh University through the BioConnect program where we did Stem Cell research. Then, I transferred to Lehigh University where I received my Bachelors in Biochemistry and took classes to minor in Computer Science. I received my Bachelors from Lehigh in the fall of 2018.
Teaching Experience
In August of 2018, I began officially tutoring in the Science Learning Center at Northampton Community College. The courses I tutored included Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Genetics and Physics. Along with the sciences, I also tutored students in basic mathematics including Algebra, Linear Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus I. At times, I assisted students enrolled in ESL courses to assist them through language barriers and guide them through their science and/or mathematic courses. From this experience, I was recommended to tutor privately for both college and high school students primarily in the sciences.
Interests
What is most important to me is enjoying good company and good food. I love reading, being outdoors, and finding time to volunteer. As a mentor for the Northampton Way, a networking platform where mentors interface with students, I find it fulfilling to encourage students and help them to reach their full potential.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
