About Me
Hi! My name is Bethanie. I'm a recent Vanderbilt graduate and I am so excited to start working with you. I'm 22, from North Carolina, and a huge soccer fan (ask me about the premier league!). At Vanderbilt I studied Chemistry but I have tutored/taught a lot of different subjects to students of a lot of different age groups.
Education
I graduated from Vanderbilt University with my Bachelor's degree in May of 2022. I double majored in Chemistry and Medicine Health and Society (MHS) and minored in German.
Teaching Experience
I worked for three years at the Vanderbilt Tutoring Center as a peer tutor, offering the subjects of general and organic chemistry, general biology, and neuroscience. I worked in the general chemistry classroom as a learning assistant for one semester. I also was part of a student organization called Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science (VSVS) which visited metro Nashville middle schools performing science experiments. Lastly, I have taught English in both Morocco and Austria.
Interests
I really enjoy watching soccer, reading, trying new restaurants in the area, and travelling whenever I can.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
