Education
I attended George Mason University and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Mild Disabilities. I am currently enrolled in the University of West Alabama where I am working on a MEd in Secondary Science Education. I have earned specialist certifiates in in Social and Emotional Well-Being, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Child Development from the University of Colorado. I have also completed coursework in Severe and Profound Disabilities from the University of Cape Town. I hold certifications in STEM from the University of Notre Dame, Special Education in Virginia and Science in North Carolina.
Teaching Experience
I have taught for seven years. I have taught science in grades 5-12 (Including Botany, Biology, Advanced Biology, PreAP Biology, Honors Physical Science, Remedial Physical Science, Environmental Science, Science Grade 5, Science Grade 7, Science and Grade 8), ACT Prep, Reading Intervention, Math Intervention and Math Enrichment.
Interests
When I am not tutoring or teaching I enjoy gardening, reading and volunteering.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
