About Me
I have always loved math, I know that is strange to most people, but I have always found a lot of satisfaction in making logical connections and discovering the symmetry and hidden patterns that math reveals. However, I didn't grasp all the ways that math enhanced my understanding of the world at large until much later in life. As your tutor, my passion lies in doing my best to help you to see these things as well. I want you to understand how math will help you to make informed decisions, and sift through all the misinformation that muddies important debates in our world, how it helps you to make the best financial decisions and plan for your future, how it lies at the heart of all the modern miracles of technology that you enjoy every day, and how it exercises your mind and helps it to develop strong analytical and problem solving skills. Nothing excites me more than being able to pass this passion on to my students. I promise that I can make math meaningful and fun for you!!
Education
I attended James Madison University from 2004-2008 and earned a B.S. in Mathematics with a Minor in Secondary Education. I continued a fifth year (08-09) to earn my Masters in Secondary Ed.
