About Me
I love helping others to immerse and enjoy languages. I understand languages as a way/gate to explore and get familiar with a different culture and to get to understand and appreciate others. I love also that languages can help each of us to create new versions of ourselves. Also, and in any case, I always try to help you/student/learner/explorer in whatever you need!!!
Education
I studied Spanish Philology at the University of Deusto, in Bilbao (Spain). Then I did my postgraduate education (2 Masters and Doctoral coursework) at the University of Oregon and at Washington University in St. Louis.
Teaching Experience
I have 12 years of experience teaching Spanish language, literature and culture courses both in College and in High School settings across different institutions in the States. Before that, I did individual tutoring and small group tutoring of Social Sciences, History, Spanish Grammar, Poetry (Close Reading) and Latin to both High School and College age students in Spain.
Interests
I love sports, and I dedicate lots of time to soccer. I am a Licensed Soccer coach and a Scout and Performance Analysis coach. I like spending time with my wife as well walking, running or going for day trips to explore new places here in VA and in other close states. We love travelling together! Finally, I am very passionate about movies (I taught cinema classes as well) and I love watching movies in theaters.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
