About Me
I have two daughters, four cats, and fifteen years of teaching experience! I can't wait to get started!
Education
I attended Mary Washington and majored in History. I've been teaching Social Studies and English since 2007, and I'm currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Literacy Education. I'm hoping to transition from classroom teaching to reading intervention as a Reading Specialist.
Teaching Experience
I've been teaching full-time since 2007 (7 years of Social Studies; 8 years of English). I also tutor part-time for PRACEP (Piedmont Region Adult Community Education Program), which prepares adult learners for the GED test.
Interests
I (and my husband) like to take our daughters (10 and 5) on day trips, explore the woods around our house, and read.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
