About Me
I love Spain! I spent my junior year abroad in Madrid.. My last visit to Spain was in 2014. I'm a widow with three children. I volunteer at the Children's Hospital at the Brook Road Campus. I love children and all animals. If I can't be in Spain my favorite place to be with my family is Grandfather Mountain in Boone, North Carolina,
Education
I graduated from Mary Baldwin University with a Collegiate Professional Certificate and a BA in Spanish in 1976. I graduated from the University of Richmond in 1981 with an MA in Spanish
Teaching Experience
I tutored Spanish in 1976-1979 in Richmond and at Seton House. I started teaching in 1976 at Gill School in Chesterfield County. I started teaching at J.S. Reynolds Community College as an adjunct in 1989 -2011. I have taught in Chesterfiel, Hanover and Henrico Counties from 1978-1985, 1994-2004 I taught Spanish in Mobile, Al (3rd-6th graders) at Knollwood Christian School as a volunteer in 1986.
Interests
I love to travel when given the opportunity. Reading and writing stories for children are a couple of my passions. I love children and all animals, especially my two dogs and two cats. I leave the snakes to my children.
