About Me
I find that open communication is very helpful in ensuring effective lesson time. Please feel free to inform me of what teaching style suits your learning capabilities (audio, visual, tactile, etc.). I believe that each student learns in a unique way and as educators we should take the time to explore what methods work best. The ability to learn is a valuable tool we use all throughout our lifetime. Knowing how to process information is imperative to being able to utilize that very knowledge to enhance our lives and make a positive impact in the world. I am excited to work with you in the near future!
Education
I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in May of 2016. I also minored in Chemistry and Religious Studies during my Undergraduate degree.
Teaching Experience
Throughout the years I have mainly had informal teaching experiences. The most recent experience was tutoring a student in the 7th grade in Spanish level 1. I was able to tutor the student for the entire Fall semester. I have also tutored elementary school-aged children in Reading and Math.
Interests
I enjoy spending time nature by hiking and doing other outdoor activities. Drawing and painting are some of my favorite hobbies that I find relaxing. I also value spending time with my friends and family trying new foods/cuisines.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
