About Me
Everton earned an honors BA in Narrative Studies--an interdisciplinary exploration of storytelling across cultures, media, and historical periods--from the University of Southern California, where he also served as a Team Leader for three years in an AmeriCorps program called Jumpstart. After graduating from USC, Everton taught 4th grade full-time as a co-teacher at Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton and tutored high school students in English, history, test prep, and college applications. He then accepted a full-tuition merit scholarship to Stanford University, where he completed his Master of Arts in Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (K - 6), and Additional Authorization in Literature (K - postgrad). As a Stanford Teaching Fellow, Everton had the opportunity to co-teach in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade over the course of the year. Everton currently teaches Upper School Humanities and tutors students in English, History, and College Applications. He is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm and love of learning with his students. Leading with energy and warmth, Everton is committed to honing students' strengths and facilitating growth in areas that challenge them.
