With my 7+ years of experience as an educator, which includes experience specifically as a math tutor, I have learned how to communicate effectively using a combination of clear explanations and questions to help students come to conclusions themselves, always adapting my teaching style to my students’ needs. I have substantial experience working with elementary, middle school and high school students who have unique learning differences and are from diverse backgrounds. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with students and find it exciting to see them learn, grow, and achieve their academic goals. I have a strong background in math and science. I thoroughly enjoy solving math problems! In high school I took math through pre-calculus and took calculus during my undergraduate studies. During my graduate studies I took 4 quarters of biostatistics and loved it. During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I delved deep into several areas of science including environmental toxicology, epigenetics, neurobiology, microbiology, and nutritional sciences. During this time, I also worked in 3 labs.
